Definition of Democracy
suggests that it is a system of government in which the common people rule
their self by exercising their right to vote for their representation that is
being exercised by certain people in the political arena.
Now here are the
pertinent questions that we know that democracy is the rule of people, by the
people, for the people but still the most relevant question is un-answered
that, are the people really being represented by the chosen ones by the people?
Are the people getting what they are being promised for? Even, are the people
getting their political rights being a citizen of the state? Now, answering
this question is difficult as the first and foremost fundamental right that is the right is also the political right of a citizen is freedom of expression and
freedom of speech such that to critically evaluate the performance of the state-run institutions whose main purpose is the development of the state. But here
we are, people are denied their freedom of expression, freedom of speech,
and we call this democracy.
Democracy is no
different than dictatorship or monarchy especially nowadays if we look at the situation in the country, we will be able to find out that there is no
difference than a time duration of government between dictatorship a democracy.
Even comparing political government with the cricket match is like one team bats and the other one bowls
until the conclusion of the match or the event, the same is happening in the
politics of Pakistan one political party rules and the others do the opposition
and it keeps on going since independence it is happening again and again since
the independence of Pakistan from the British Empire.
People in
Pakistan is now denied their political rights, people are just fulfilling
the formality of filing the bags of election commission on the days' election
and then forget everything till the next term election. Voters should be
keeping an eye on the policymakers and keeps on auditing them on their actions
while during their tenure of the government is also the part of the job for the
common people but still, unfortunately, nobody is trying to understand that we
can do anything while these politicians hold these public offices.
Political elites
are putting down the voices of the people even those who are being heard by the
large chunks of people across the country and still in the age of information in 21st
century people are living in the fog of disinformation and many have been not
let to hear anything and also not being heard by anyone else.

I am agree to your point.only the face of the politicians are changing but the results still same. But it is not just the problem of pakistan. Everywhere of the world, peoples ecperience same gifts from state. only the deffrences are lying on methodolgy. May be pakistani politician's use different techniques to cover the public eyes from reality.
ReplyDeleteDespit all of this, i have a question to you.How is it possible huge chunk of peoples are playing with the hands of few elites? if it is realtiy then it's mean problem lies in that psoples rather than few elites. Even from long time they are doing a same mistake. you don't think problem lies in these civilians. Even if we compares the education between these few elites and huge mob then civilans are more educated.
You are right sir, but the system is designed as it counts people but not weigh them.
